KOTA KINABALU: The St Simon Catholic Church Likas parish is partially re-opening on July 19 (Sunday), with strict observation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) under the Recovery Movement Control Order phase.

Following the guidelines issued by the Government and Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu, parish rector Fr Cosmas Lee hoped the parishioners would be responsible in observing the “New Normal”, amid the pandemic crisis, for the common good.
For the parish, only online registrations via Google Form are considered valid.
Things to note on the Sunday Mass attendance:
- Online registration via Google Form is open from Tuesdays (00:00 hours) onwards. Follow this link to register: https://bit.ly/StSimonSundayMorningMass
- Confirmation of attendance will be e-mailed to the parishioner
- The less tech-savvy can seek assistance from friends/relatives or the parish office
- The Google Form registration is non-transferable
- SOP: Always wear face mask, observe one-metre social distancing, sanitise hands etc
- Gate to open at 6.45am; to close at 8.15am before the Mass
Meanwhile, Fr Cosmas will give special Covid-19 catechesis at every Mass. Those who are not able to be physically present at the Mass can follow the live-stream from the parish’s YouTube channel (St Simon Likas).
