KOTA KINABALU: The Legion of Mary (LoM), the Praesdium of Our Lady of Annunciation, of St Simon Catholic Church Likas hosted the 13th Annual General Reunion (AGR) at its parish hall here on Dec 9, 2017.
The AGR, attended by some 110 participants at the event recently, is a reunion of all the legionaries under the Kota Kinabalu Archdiocese with the objective to build rapport among the members.
There are 13 Praesdia of the Legion of Mary under the archdiocese and 12 out of 13, including the junior Praesidia, took part in the event.
The event, an opportunity for movement and fostering the spirit of unity and affection in the Legion family, also included innovative games aimed at building rapport among the legionaries from different backgrounds and places.
The parish rector, Fr Cosmas Lee, welcomed the Legionaries at the event which kicked off at 10am with full Legionary prayers and Rosary, led by Spiritual Directress, Sister Teresa Chye. It was also a tribute to Our Lady, the Queen of the Legion who is the “Cause of our Joy”.
The event concluded at 1pm. Some of the participants said it was the best AGR they attended. Special thanks to Margaret Ng, President of the KK Comitium, her team and members of the Praesidium of Our Lady of Annunciation and Fr Cosmas. – by Joan Pang
