Today, however, Jesus is saying the same about loving God, but telling it differently, in the context of comparing our actual affections and love. In this true-to-life way, He jolts us out of our comfort and forces us to see how true is our discipleship.

At the Ascension, as the disciples were fixated looking at the Risen Lord being lifted up to heaven and disappearing into the clouds, they were told that Jesus would come back in the same way they saw Him going up (at the end of time).
‘He will give you another Advocate’
The God who gives us the Way, the Truth, and the Life, to whom we bear witness, is of course the HOLY SPIRIT given us by Jesus risen from the dead.
