Parish office opens June 10 (Weds)

The letter signed by the rector on the opening of the parish office on June 10.

KOTA KINABALU: In view of the end of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), the rector of St Simon Catholic Church Likas announced that the parish office will be opened to public on June 10 (Wednesday).

“We are happy to announce that effective June 10 we shall be opening the Parish Office, subject to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP),” Fr Cosmas Lee said in a statement dated June 3.

Here are some of the guidelines for visitors and parishioners:

  • Make Appointment:

To meet staff or priest, please make appointment with parish office at least two days before appointment date.

  • Covid-19 Symptoms:

Any visitor having any Covid-19 symptoms (cough, sore throat, fever, breathing problem) — are not allowed to come to the Parish but should go immediately to the nearest health clinic.

  • Arrival at St Simon:

Put on face mask before opening the main gate.

Close main gate immediately after entering Parish premises, park car and proceed directly to Waiting Area / Registration Desk (located at corridor, near front door of parish office).

  • Registration:
    • Sanitize hands
    • Have Body Temperature taken (37.5 C)
    • Fill in Visitor Register Book (pen provided for visitor, and sanitized after each use; registration staff uses his/her own pen).

  • Personal Hygiene
    • No hand-shake or personal contact; maintain social distance (1 meter) at all times.
    • Take your used face mask / tissues home for disposal.

The parish office is open on Mondays to Fridays at 9am-12pm, 1pm-5pm and Saturdays at 9am-12pm. It is closed on Sundays.
