St. Simon’s Parish celebrated its patron saint’s feast day on October 29, 2023. The feast day is generally observed on October 27th, but this year it was held on Sunday to coincide with the holy sacrament of confirmation. Archbishop John Wong presided over the mass, together with the rector and assistant parish priest, Fr. Cosmas Lee and Fr. Rhobby Aaron Mojolou. 45 young men and women were confirmed at the occasion, which was attended by their sponsors, parents, family members, and friends. As the teens participated in the mass, the event was a joyful occasion that commemorated the teens’ faith journey. The congregation was invited to lunch at SSPC’s main hall, where Fr. Cosmas congratulated the confirmands and the archbishop offered grace before the meal was served. The parishioners then feasted with the confirmands.
